Land For Sale

This is a beautiful piece of land in Morganton, Ga. It is 1 acre of fairly level land. This land is within a nice subdivision called "Emelia Estates". The houses around it are mainly vacation homes. If you know anyone who is looking for land that they can build on, please have them get in touch with either me or Matt. This land is being sold for $36,000, which is a steal of a piece in this area.

Hummm .... Christmas List

It seems kind of funny to create a blog for Christmas gift ideas in October, but this is for those of you who want to start shopping early for the upcoming season. I am not really big on making a "List" for people. I just appreciate what I get. However, so many people are asking what we want so here goes!

Also, we are not expecting any, or all, of this. It is just some information to make gift ideas a little easier for everyone.

If you want to do a "couple" gift, and only get one thing for both Matt and I, then we would really like a nice digital camera. It does not have to super expensive. We would just like one that will not break after a year of having it. :)

Things I like:

Books (I love Christian Fiction novels, Mary Higgins Clark, etc.)

Movies (Gone with the Wind, I Am Legend, Jumper, Cloverfield, Happy Feet, Original Dr. Doolittle, Singin' in the Rain, Sleeping Beauty, Wall-E, Chronicles of Narnia #1 and #2, Bambi, Indian Jones, Drumline, etc.)

anything with Frogs! :)

Household things

Gift cards
(Cato (clothes store), Wal-mart, Target, etc.)

Money (but I am not expecting this ... )

Things Matt would like:

Baseball cards

Jazz by Ken Burns
(VHS is okay!)

Baseball by Ken Burns (VHS is okay!)

Anything Historical (DVD's, Books, etc.)

DVD's (new Furturama "Bender's Game", The Village, Simpsons (early seasons), Family Guy (any seasons), Indiana Jones, Bull Durham, etc.)

Gift cards (Wal-mart, book stores, sport stores, Amazon, etc.)

Money

Have fun shopping! Let's all support the economy! Ha ha!

Here's Jayden! He was born on September 16th in the morning. :) He weighed in at 7 pounds and 4 ounces. He loves music, especially from his Nana! He is growing like a weed already, however is going to have to be supplemented with formula coming up soon.

We have tried to convince Heather to 'loan' him to us so we can get pregnant faster (since those who adopt seem to get pregnant faster)!! She said no...;)

Heeheeheeheehee!!

Some thoughts ...

Things have been so busy lately. I can barely focus at times. Thankfully I have a couple of days off from school for Fall Break. During this time I get to sit back and relax. The only problem with having all that extra time to think is that you really get to go over things in your head. It is not always pretty.

One thing I am very thankful for is my husband. Matt has been a strong shoulder during rough times. I know he is also under a tremendous amount of stress what with school and wanting to help out with the bills, but not bringing a lot in right now. He is amazing with how he is handling it all right now. I know it is overwhelming having a wife who is working through her own struggles ... and with how medicine is effecting her ... but he is a trooper! All the little things he does for me every day makes me fall more and more in love with him. I thank God for the man He provided for me.

Family is another thing I am thankful for. They are all there for me and support both me and Matt as we work our way through everything. I don't think things would go as smoothly if it was not for the strong support we have around us. So, for my my family (all of you!), Thank You for everything!

There are still struggles ... and we ask for your prayer for financial concerns. God will provide for us ... and we know that ... but it is still a concern for us. We are also working on other things within the house. We don't know how things are going with family things, but now isn't the time to go into that. I love helping out family, but sometimes it does not always help out our "family" time. I will leave it at that.

On that note, I am off. Go Georgia!!! Whoop their Tennessee butts!!
